VVDN Participates in NASSCOM Globallogic 30 Hacks: Power Of AI Hackathon

Noida, May 10th, 2019 | The National Association of Software and Services Companies, NASSCOM recently organized ‘NASSCOM Globallogic 30 Hacks: Power Of AI Hackathon’, at Sector 126, Noida. The hackathon was organized for AI enthusiasts from all across the country, who were currently working on projects based on AI. VVDN Technologies participated in this event as both - participants and the judgement committee. The theme of the Hack was 'Power of Artificial Intelligence'. The participating teams could either create a new solution with the help of AI or apply AI on an existing business application to make it smart. Applied AI and AI for Tech were the sub-themes for the Hackathon. The objective of the hackathon was to provide engineers a platform to showcase their innovative ideas and innovative thinking in the much talked AI space.

Artificial Intelligence is a bend of technology in the fast-paced and evolving life that is making things simpler and convenient for everyone. It has now been around for quite a while and technology experts call it the next big industrial and technological revolution.

The event saw a wide mix up of talent from across the nation. A team of 15 Jury members comprising of eminent Tech leaders from different organizations including VVDN evaluated the contestants. The teams were evaluated on the basis of Design, Innovation, Business Implication, Solution Approach, Working Demo and Presentation. The Jury decided the winners after an extensive evaluation of over 7 hours of discussion.

Mohit Garg, AVP (Cloud and Analytics) and leading lot of initiatives w.r.t AI/ML and Analytics at VVDN, was one of the jury members. He said, "It was a fantastic event where a lot of fresh ideas came from young engineers. These ideas had immense potential to contribute to world markets and technology fronts." He further added, "It was interesting to judge the caliber of each team, how they prepared themselves and researched in the given 30 hour period. The platform had immense potential to bring out the best from each participant and VVDN looks forward to attending and judging more such initiatives that NASSCOM takes in the near future."
