Gourab Basu pointed out how and what is driving all the provided unique insights into the innovation story of the design and manufacturing in high technology sectors.He stated VVDN's success in commissioning Production Ready complex designs formed an ideal backdrop for re-iterating the importance of Designs which remain completely relevant from manufacturing perspective.
The talk also outlined the evolution of all three - Consumer Demand, Manufacturing and D&D - as inter-dependent, in a cyclic fashion. Participation in the seminar stated the enthusiasm and the capabilities in design and manufacturing. Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar also gave a keynote to the audience and included Prominent Speakers like Dr Arvind Gupta, Deputy National Security Advisor, Mr. Amitabh Kant, Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotions (DIPP), Dr. VK Saraswat, formerly Chief of the DRDO and presently Member of the Niti Aayog, Mr. Chandrajeet Banerjee, Director General, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Dr. Kiran Kumar, Chairman, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), and Dr. Gulshan Rai, National Cyber Security Coordinator, NSCS. Moreover the talk was concluded by highlighting how DFM discipline, techniques and tools play a pivotal role in ensuring that the evolution in Design, Development and Manufacturing techniques are not isolated and persist relevant to each other.
